Shree Lokanatha: Shri Lokanatha temple is situated about 3 kms away from Jagannath Temple at Puri. This is one of the most ancient Shaiva shrines of Orissa state, basis of history this temple was established by Ramachandra on his way to Lanka. He installed a pumpkin (Lau) presented by a Sabara which looks like Shiva Linga and prayed Shiva to fulfill his desire. From the religious point of view, it occupies an important position in the Orissan cultural history. From that day the Linga called as 'Laukanatha'. It’s believed that the word 'Laukanatha' pronounced as “Lokanatha”.

Satapada: Satapara or Satapada is located It is located on the southern part of the Chilika Lake and 55kms away from Jagannath Puri, Satapada on Chilka Lake is famous for Irrawaddy Dolphins. Chilka Lake is one of the biggest brackish water lake in the world. Satpada attracts many tourists to watch Dolphins and Cruise on the Lake.

Balighai: Balighai is a beautiful and calm sea beach 10kms away from Puri on the Puri – Konark marine drive road. This is the place where river Nuanai meets Bay of Bengal. Tourists can spot deers and turtles here. One can enjoy magnificent Sun Rise and Sun Set boat riding and also Sun bath on the golden sand of the Balighai beach.

Pipili: Pipili is situated 40kms from Puri and 15kms from the Bhubaneswar on the Bhubaneswa r- Puri road. This is famous for Applique Handicrafts, which is very unique of his kind. On the way to Puir from Bhubaneswar on can watch the colorful shops after driving of 15kms. Many national and international tourists visit this Craft Market and purchase famous Pipili Chanduas, Lampshades, Garden Umbrellas. This unique craft is directly connected to Lord Jagannath. One can see the famous Applique work during Rath Yatra.

Chandrabhaga: Chandrabhaga is a one of the famous beaches in Orissa, it is situated 30kms away from Puri and 3kms away from Famous Sun Temple of Konark. This place has both historical and religious importance. Lakhs of believers take a holy dip in the river and offer their prayers to the Sun God on the 7th day of the full moon fortnight of Magha month every year.

Ramachandi: Ramachandi is a famous Tourist destination and Picnic spot and also a ancient Shakti Pitha of Orissa. It is 25kms away from Puri and 7kms away from Konark on the Puri – Konark marine drive road. This is the adobe of Goddess Ramachandi. It is said that the goddess was worshiped by Ramachandra on the way to Lanka. The temple of Goddess is situated bank of Kushbhadra River. Generally tourists enjoy the scenic beauty of the place as well as this place is famous for Sunrise and Senset.

Kakatpur: Kakatapur is one of the famous Shakti pitha of Orissa it situated on the bank of river prachi and it is 50kms away from Puri on the Puri –Astranga road. Kakatpur is famous for Maa Mangala. Mangala is one of the important goddess of Jagannatha Culture and Maa Mangala has a very close relation with Lord Jagannath. Maa Mangla regarded as the mother of the Lord. It is said that every night she visits Bada Deula to see Lords Jagannath.

Baliharachandi: Baliharchandi is situated in village Palanka and it is 35kms away from Puri on the road leads to Satapada via Brahmagiri. This temple is dedicated to Goddes Shakti or Goddess Durga. The presiding deity is Asta-Bhuja (Eight-Armed) Mahisamardini Durga worshipped as Baliharachandi. The boatsman and fishermen worshiped the goodess when confronted with danger in the sea. This temple has a direct relation with Lord Jagannath temple during Maha navami day in month of Ashwini. There are many festivals celebrated here like Navaratri, Durga Puja, Chaitra Mangala Bara, Ramanavami etc.

Alarnath: According to mythological history the rulers of Alwar in Rajasthan had constructed the temple of lord Vishnu in Brahmagirei. Gradually the temple was later known as Alwarnath or Alarnath. It is situated 27kms away from Puri towards Satapada. During Anavasara all devotees of Lord Jagannath visit to pay worship to Lord Alarnath. This ritual has been implemented since the time of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya. It is believe that to visit Lord Alaranath during the two week periods of Anavasara has considered as very much auspicious.
